It's always a good idea to replace or recharge your camera batteries when they get low, as shooting with a low battry condition can sometimes corrupt your memory card. Also, if you use a card reader to transfer pictures to your computer, make sure you plug the reader in, and then insert the memory card. Likewise, always use the "Safely remove hardware" icon on your toolbar to properly eject your card reader before removing the memory card or reader from your computer.
